A number of Danish high school students will be able to use artificial intelligence during the oral part of their final English exam from next year, the Ministry of Education announced.

During the exam, students will be able to use artificial intelligence in the preparatory phase of the oral part, and after they have designed a topic, they will have one hour to prepare and will be able to use all artificial intelligence tools, which was not allowed until now.

They will then have to give an oral presentation on the given topic in front of an examiner, the Telegraph reports.

Denmark, which has allowed regulated internet use during exams since 2008, is trying to encourage digital development through learning.

“We are launching these experiments to find the right balance,” said Education Minister Mathias Tesfaye, according to Figaro.

He added that when students develop in both the digital and analog worlds, they are better prepared for the reality that awaits them after school.

The use of artificial intelligence during English exams will be made available to secondary schools that voluntarily apply for this step. /Telegraph/
