  9. I've never played Roblox, but question from an elder millennial here… would it really be that hard for a 13-year-old to lie about their age and get into these adult places in the game? I remember being a young teen and there would be online content that would say… No one under 18 allowed… I still very easily managed to get on, and yes, looking back, I was approached by predators in those places. I was just never the kind of kid that would go meet up with someone no matter what… but I was still exposed to a lot I shouldn't have been exposed to at that age.

  11. Yeah it just shouldn't be there….if I get my voice chat taken away for saying shit too much by accident then people should be banned for trying to have relationships on Roblox..

  13. Dude. I reported this guy who was asking me to message him, how hes 30+ and sent me friend requests, said to call him "daddy" etc. I reported him but roblox didnt do anything about it.

    (And im under 14)

  15. It’s not like they can’t just find a way around it. Good example is the kids making an adult accounts to go play the games using a VPN to get around it but you know those are just two things that they could do this is at the top of my head Even the age verification thing they try to do could backfire on them because it’s not like they could lie on that will create an account to where they could say they’re an adult and actually be a child or have their mother father make the account for them to access that stuff without their knowledge or any of you intelligent at all you might as well just be throwing them to the wolves at this point if it’s this big of a problem then maybe Roblox should honestly be shut down any game that willingly allows this shit to happen shouldn’t exist in the first place that could offend multiple people but I don’t care. There’s another way they can do it too, just remove chat entirely not every game needs a voice chat or a text to chat. Look at the old cell games before that stuff got put into games just do it that way don’t matter. You can’t communicate with people. You have to be good at the game or figure it out. Roblox really isn’t a communication game really those Minecraft. They don’t need those type of features the only value for the reasoning of convenience at this point that convenience is harming people so take it away.

  17. hey so fun fact! 17+ won't change anything because the verification system is so incredibly easy to fool, like i used my ID to verify both me AND my sister (we are both adults, we're twins) so kids can literally use their parent's ID to verify

  18. I get why a lot of people simply wouldn't want the content on Roblox.

    That said, Second Life has both minors (anyone over 13) AND adult content. And this is not something you see happening over there all that often.

    Why? They freakin' ban anything tagged mature (not just areas, but items, scripts, and even RLV now IIRC) for anyone with a minor or unverified account. You have to buy something or link a payment account to get A (edit, or M) rated stuff

    Think Mature is a little less restrictive, but still. Any part of an item having that adult flag means the whole thing will flag as such to scripts and Linden moderator scans. My two avatars are modest, but because they use custom body meshes (which are nude by default pretty much) they're A flagged. And Second Life actually MODERATES.

    That's how it SHOULD be. You don't need to build a whole Surveilance State like the UK is doing to keep predators in check.

  20. I find it extremely disturbing that roblox's taking action going above & beyond to protect predators. Banning/ deleting accounts that expose predators. For intentionally making accounts to engage with children. Inappropriately. This is extremely disturbing /Disappointing. Roblox is creating a safe haven for predators.

    Everyone let that sink in that Roblox is saying that taking these steps according to them on their official platform " create an unsafe environment for their users & unacceptable. "

    This is scary & it's going to attract more predators to their platform knowing they'll be protected & that there'll be consequences for anybody who exposes them.
