Current efforts toward sustainability

Kenvue has marked a reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in its operations, with a 37% decrease noted for Scope 1 and 2 emissions from the base year 2020.

The company has also reduced the consumption of virgin plastics by 21%, and 69% of its packaging is now recyclable or refillable.

Additionally, 97% of Kenvue’s paper and wood fibre is certified or verified recycled.

The implementation of solar systems across 13 countries through multiple power purchase agreements contributes to 72% of Kenvue’s electricity now originating from renewable sources.

Furthermore, 78.1% of total waste is now diverted from disposal through recycling and reuse initiatives, showing significant progress in waste management.

Risk assessments and policies help Kenvue manage active pharmaceuticals, with take-back programmes supporting the responsible disposal of unused medicines.
