  1. It’s not just gasoline what will continue to be rationed, Russia is having a terrible harvest this year.

  2. Fantasy. Russia is not going to collapse as soon as you think.

  3. When it does, give everything west of the Urals to Ukraine. It’s only fair.

  4. Every week the same shit. From the moment the war started.

  5. This is just wishful thinking, the US will bail out Russia to keep it from collapsing into a bunch of nuclear armed rogue states.

How do I know? Because we did it following the collapse of the USSR.

  6. “War is a luxury only small nations can afford’ and we might be about to find out why.

  7. I’ll believe it when I see it to be honest. The US, Russia, China are all about to collapse “any day now” according to so many articles online.

  8. Inevitable doesn’t mean imminent.  This are the times to redouble efforts against russian energy infrastructure. Be them political sanctions or pyrotechnical ones.

  9. If there is solid backing for these claims it might make sense for Zelensky to change strategy again and aim for full victory like he was doing before Trump’s election. The reactions to the peace proposals were very negative, the perception seems to be it is a rotten deal even if Ukraine manages to achieve its red lines (security guarantees, no de jure cession of territory, no retreat from Donbas). The fact that Russia was willing to make any concessions at all could be a sign of weakness, and if the Russian economic situation is as dire as claimed Ukraine could be in a better position by this time next year.

What worries me though is whether the claims are really backed by robust evidence, or if there is not wishful thinking influencing them. Aiming for full victory is a big risk, and on balance I think Ukraine is better trying to get acceptable terms even if they’re a rotten deal.

  10. I look forward to the terrorist putin and all his cronies facing war crime trials. I think this is the only way russia as a country can be rehabilitated. The way Germany and Japan were post WW2.
