  2. Effective censorship doesn’t really seem to exist in Russia anymore if even propagandists can say this.

    Maybe the government really figures people are so sheepish that it barely matters anymore.

  8. I am Dutch and I am ashamed of the import of Russian oil products in particular. Europe has had three years to turn off the tap from Russia.

    I hope that this scarcity will also affect us, so that no blood-stained euros are paid to the terrorist state.

  12. These strikes have long term effects.

    Russian heavy crude oil Urals is lowest quality and needs a lot of refining. Russia doesn’t have the technical capacity or engineering skills to build their own oil refining technology. Oil refiners in Russia are built by western companies who have exited the country. Maintenance and repairing become increasingly difficult without western companies.

    In the near future Russia could face Nigeria-scenario where they have shit ton of heavy crude oil but shortage of fuel.

  14. Meaning that the Kunashir Islands are now officially the only Japanese, but Russian occupied, islands that have a fuel shortage.

  16. Winter is coming. I hope a cold winter will make Russia reconsider it’s terrorist ways.
