Freedom CNG acquired ComTech Energy, expanding its compressed and renewable natural gas (C/RNG) operations. According to a press release, the acquisition is meant to help implement a North American hub-and-spoke fueling model. Freedom said this will enable more flexible and cost-effective low-carbon energy options.

ComTech Energy develops mobile on-site refueling services and for standardizing gaseous fueling infrastructure for heavy-duty transportation fleets. By joining forces, Freedom told us it gains the ability to deliver C/RNG directly to customers’ locations. The company added that helps boost convenience and better supporting fleet productivity.

With this acquisition, Freedom said it operates more than 25 C/RNG fueling stations. It also offers over 60 operations and maintenance sites across North America. The company plans to expand its mobile refueling services for heavy-duty fleets.
