Okay, so it doesn’t have the most creative name in the gaming scene; however, you can’t tell me that Space Engineers doesn’t tell you exactly what to expect from the title alone. If you want to get some engineering done, and you just so happen to want to do it in space, then this game won’t let you down.
Currently, Space Engineers is on sale on Steam. And while that in itself isn’t much to write about, the amount it has been discounted by doesn’t come around very often at all. In fact, the last time we saw it this cheap on Steam was almost two years ago.
Space Engineers is just $4.99 for a limited time with a 75% discount on Steam
If you’ve always dreamt of building your own spaceships, but you’re tired of games giving you pre-set options without much room for customization, then I urge you to give Space Engineers a try. It’s one of those games where you can spend hours building, tweaking, and designing vehicles to keep you alive in space and on alien planets. There aren’t a ton of games out there that achieve the same level of intricacy that Space Engineers does, so it’s worth a look if you’re into deep dives into spaceship design.
Here’s how the game describes itself:
Space Engineers is an open world sandbox game defined by creativity and exploration.
It is a sandbox game about engineering, construction, exploration and survival in space and on planets. Players build space ships, wheeled vehicles, space stations, planetary outposts of various sizes and uses (civil and military), pilot ships and travel through space to explore planets and gather resources to survive. Featuring both creative and survival modes, there is no limit to what can be built, utilized and explored.
If that sounds good, head over to the Space Engineers Steam page and pick it up while it’s on a 75% discount. If you’re on the fence about the game, this is the price you want to grab it at, as we haven’t seen it dip this low since the Halloween 2023 sale. And don’t take too long deciding, as the discount will disappear at lightspeed once September 1st rolls around.
