A cleaning supply company that has grown from a small family business to a huge brand has now received royal recognition.

Chemanglia, which started in a Fakenham warehouse, has announced that it was granted the Royal Warrant of Appointment by the King for its service to Sandringham.

The award honours people or companies who have been regular suppliers to the royal household, with Chemanglia providing washroom and janitorial products to the estate for decades.

Executive assistant Linda Jones applied for the warrant, and described the moment she heard back as “unforgettable”.

“The application required us to demonstrate the quality and sustainability of our products, as well as the breadth of our service,” she said.

“All the time and effort has been rewarded in a truly wonderful way.

“This is the icing on the cake for Chemanglia – a symbol of the standards we uphold and a mark of confidence for all the industries we serve.”

The company is one of the biggest employers in East Anglia and is 20 times bigger than it was when it began in 2010.

Up until then, Chemanglia had operated under Anglian Chemicals, which was established in 1979.

There are less than 1,000 warrant holders in the country, ranging from crafts people to multi-national corperations.

Founder and group managing director Tom Burkill said: “It is an extraordinary privilege to receive this Royal Warrant from His Majesty The King.

“Our team takes immense pride in the work we do, and this honour is a testament to their dedication, consistency, and professionalism.

“To be acknowledged at this level is incredibly humbling, and it inspires us to keep raising the bar for our industry.”

“Our story is one of growth and change, but also of continuity.

“We remain the same family-driven business at heart, committed to integrity, quality, and service.

“This warrant is not just a recognition of where we are today, but a beacon for where we are heading tomorrow.”
