  9. I figured Trump was in the Epstein Files and that it was probably politically damaging, but mostly a nothingburger.

    And then Todd Blanche went out and arranged that interview with Ghislaine Maxwell, followed by the “reward” of her immediate transfer to a minimum security prison.

    Why the need to have Maxwell say that Trump wasn’t involved in the pedo stuff? Clearly the administration felt like they needed that out there, but why? That whole thing smelled like inoculation against the inevitable disclosure from the Epstein Files suggesting that Trump really *was* involved with the pedo stuff. And it certainly looked like Maxwell was blackmailing Trump for the low security prison upgrade.

    I guess I had always thought Trump was a background Epstein player. But after the Maxwell interview and the hold back of the files, it seems much more likely that Trump was one of the top pedos in the Epstein orbit, no? If he’s so innocent, why the need to hide from disclosure or the need to bend to Maxwell to have her “exonerate” him?
