A grieving mother has revealed the harrowing moment she walked into a funeral director’s living room and found her dead son sitting in a baby bouncer watching cartoons. Zoe Ward, 32, was left ‘screaming’ in panic after seeing her baby Bleu, who was just three weeks old when he died of brain damage at Leeds General Infirmary in 2021. Ms Ward asked Florrie’s Army – set up by 38-year-old Amie Upton after her own daughter was stillborn in 2017 – to arrange his funeral after a recommendation from a family friend.
This is one of the more fucked up stories I’ve read in recent times.
I’m all up for 24 hours of dropping the immigration issue so we can all crash out about how fucked up this is. Like seriously, what the fuck.
Fucking hell… That’s enough internet today, I’m going to the park, with my dog and 2 beers to forget about this.
Jesus Fucking Christ.
I want to say what the fuck is wrong with that person, but it doesn’t feel like it does it justice.
Holy fucking shit ! There are some seriously deranged people out there.
This is some Bates Motel shit. Horrifying.
The world just finds more and more mental people.
I’ve only just started scrolling for the day and this is what I see. Some days you’re just better off reading a book ☹️
It’s horrific. I would have expected the industry to be heavily regulated but apparently not. Those poor families put so much trust in her
What. The. FUCK.
….is her excuse really that she hasn’t had any friends in awhile?? She’s lonely that’s why she’s watching cartoons with people’s dead babies????
Clearly this woman has had a psychotic break from reality brought on undoubtedly by her own babies premature death, the real story here is regulation or lack thereof in England and wales which I was astonished to read.
Mankind needs a restart.
I’m a mortician for an NHS hospital and we have VERY strict guidelines from our governing body on how we store/handle the deceased, it’s always been shocking to me that there’s no regulation at all for funeral directors.
The law around how human remains are treated needs major reform. They’re in a weird legal position where they’re not people but not property either, so it’s hard to clamp down on this. We need a legal change to ensure human remains are treated with dignity.
How do I permanently delete this visual from my brain
This isn’t a funeral director it’s a severely mentally ill woman not getting the help she needs.
Like how can you even be angry with her? That’s not something a funcational human being does. There’s obviously something deeply, deeply wrong and I really don’t understand why this is being angled as a professional ethics thing and not a mental health story.
Wat
It’s so odd, my husbands a grave digger and there’s more laws about the bodies once they’re in the ground than above it!
This is so fucking wrong I can’t even explain the emotion I feel
Oh dear. Nightmare fuel.
Read about this first thing this morning. It was not how I wanted to start my day.
Call me crazy but I think it’s easy to have a measure of understanding that this funeral director clearly had some kind of mental breakdown that most, thankfully, don’t experience.
And to really really wish there were better laws in place for the professionals handling the dead. That way when those outliers show up and we hear one of the major horror stories from a mortuary, it’s not followed up by, “but strangely no laws were broken.”
Is this the natural progression of those Reborn Doll people???
The industry needs regulation, and I hope the woman gets help. She’s clearly mentally ill.
* There is no legal requirement for licensing, training, or oversight of funeral directors.
* Funeral homes can operate without regular inspections unless they voluntarily join a trade body like the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD).
* Even then, compliance is not enforced by law it’s mostly self-regulated.
Time we had some rules as people can take the piss and this is not the first time in recent years
🤬🤬🤬
No parent should be going through that. 😢💔
