Philadelphia 76ers big man Adem Bona continued his final preparation for the 2025-26 season by participating in EuroBasket for Turkey. The second-year man out of UCLA is looking to build off a strong rookie season and become a regular for coach Nick Nurse in the upcoming season.
Bona contributed six points and two rebounds off the bench as Turkey handled the Czech Republic 92-78 in Group A play. They improved to 2-2 and will take on Portugal in an important matchup on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. EDT. Bona will be looking to continue providing solid play off the bench behind Turkish star Alperen Sengun who put up 23 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists in the win over Czech Republic.
The Sixers have to hope that Bona can continue putting up solid performances for Turkey and then be able to build off this. Nurse is a well-traveled coach in his own right as he has coached in the British Basketball League overseas so he knows what international play can do for Bona’s development.
