  1. To be honest I’m surprised they don’t consider safety woke.

  2. It’s going to be very funny watching the infighting between reformers that’ll be kicked off by this.

  3. They’re going to upset their voters! Protests incoming!!

  4. I made a post yesterday about how, politics aside, this whole situation was objectively funny.

I think i just found the punchline.

  5. How dare they remove the British flag!

That’s what a sharp leader of the Labor or Tory party would exploit. The nationalist heart of Reform is where the dagger needs to plunge.

Aside from that, the rest of our parties need to show more pride and respect for our nation and flag… I often find it odd that the only people who are publicly supportive of the UK are basically neo-nazis.

  6. This will guaranteed to be ignored. The flag protestors don’t care.

This goes against their worldview and instead of changing their minds they will just double down and blame labour because and the end of the day they want to be angry at something

  7. This whole flags saga might the dumbest thing I’ve ever witnessed in UK politics, and that’s saying something.

  8. If there is safety concerns then it shows we have unfriendly immigrants in his country

  9. I’m just tired of all this shite about flags. Just fly what you want and shut up about it.

  10. >The Reform MP Lee Anderson has also posted frequently about his desire for more flags to be flown around the country, including a post on Monday showing a letter he had written to the government five years ago, with the caption: “It’s nearly 5 years ago since I wrote to the last government to ask for the Union flag to be flown from every single public building in the UK. I’m still waiting for an answer.”

Maybe it’s just that we’re not realy the flag flying nation, to many the flag only comes out during the football, the rugby, king birthday, time when national unity is needed or even just the Olympics.

Yeah we should definitely claim our flag back it’s not a flag of racism or what ever Mr Yaxley-Lennon dose it’s the flag out of great nation

  11. Reform being the first (to my knowledge) party to take them down, despite manypeople putting them up supporting them, is a hilarious twist to this and I can’t wait to see people get angry about it

  12. Y’know, this country is seriously lacking a real national identity.

We’ve had years of gutless politicians trying to please everyone for votes and only succeeding in making a large percentage unhappy. We have other subs on Reddit asking why we’re ashamed to be British, and there’s so many reasons, what’s it honestly going to take to get some national pride back? If you don’t want to be proud of your country, ask yourself why and maybe share it here?

  13. Those plastering george crosses everywhere are doing it so they have an excuse to kick off when they are taken down.

They won’t get angry at Reform for it though, because that’s not the game.

No, they don’t care about hypocricy either.

  14. All the flags where I live disappeared within 12 hours of going up. It’s a pretty Tory area and people only care about one thing: property value.

They will absolutely not want their area associated with the EDL in any way because they’ll fear it will affect house prices. Half of them will probably still vote Reform when it comes to it, though.

  15. “They had to feel themselves true patriots, even while they plundered their countrymen.”

George Orwell, think it applies nicely to Farage and reform. Using nationalism as a smoke screen to come in and asset strip the nation

  16. Reform the first to crack then they only support the russian flag anyway

  17. Reform are useless but at least it’ll push people to a better candidate than Farage.

I don’t know how they don’t recognise this as shooting themselves in the foot but Farage is a weak flip-flopper with no conviction anyway so I’ll take it.

  18. Reform really need to stick to a solid platform. Enough with the gaffes.
