Just back from my 2nd time in this amazing country and already looking at coming back next year.
I came solo this time and had hoped to do a lot of hiking but due to some less than ideal weather and knee pain from the descent of Mangart, I had to take it easy.
As it was my 2nd time I didn’t feel rushed to cram in as many of the main tourist activities as possible. I will say though after visiting the Škocjan caves this time, I don’t understand why some people recommend Postojna over it. Postojna is pretty lacklustre whilst Škocjan is very good, in my opinion Postojna is not worth the money or time (Predjama is amazing though).
Also, decided to climb Strevčeva Peč from the panoramic road as an easy hike and was surprised at just how good the view is over the Logar Valley. Although there is no official path, this peak gives an amazing view for relatively little effort.
