  1. This is a really difficult crime for the police to solve.

Where could the phones be…? I wonder where the criminal who stole them ended up…?

    It’s a tricky one. Maybe call Poirot…?

    /s

  2. Them scruffy southerners coming up north and stealing

  3. “However, police said they had “no indication” organised groups were behind the thefts.”

These phones are stolen and sent abroad to be stripped for parts which are then resold to repair shops. It is a well known criminal network and there are gangs across the UK who are know to operate like this.

  4. Police find excuse not to do their most basic function. Imagine my shock.

  5. Should have told them that there was someone wearing a Palestine Action t shirt in the house, they’d have the whole riot team going through the door in five minutes.

  6. Ban the festival. Crime ridden festival. Waste of police resources. /s

  7. More effort as usual into prevarication and delay rather than taking any action. Phone theft is evidently not a priority crime anymore like shop lifting.

  8. It’s a shame we don’t have any kind of vehicles or even basic radio technology here in 1225

  9. If only our government had some sort of enforcement group that have the authority to enter property when they have probable cause to believe it’s being used to store stolen goods.

I’ve lived in a lot of countries and the UK has the most incompetent police force by far. At least in China they’ll sometimes do their jobs if something starts to embarrass the party, here the bobbies openly flaunt being lazy and inept like it’s something to be proud of.
