  1. I hope the talent moves on to other studios to keep the legacy alive.

  2. Still not a single reliable source reporting this. On LinkedIn there is like one guy saying it. Might be true, but I sure hope not. They were still closing significant international deals as recently as 2 weeks ago.

  3. The planet Nelvaan in the 2003 Clone Wars cartoon was named after this studio, iirc.

  4. Sucks seeing the Canadian studios getting less work and worse in this case. It reminds of how big Ocean Group dubbing used to be in anime during the 90s and early 2000s. Now they’re practically non-existent in anime, outside of a few random series.

  5. Every time I see this reported I get a new cartoon theme in my head.

  6. How sad. Little Bear is one of the best children’s shows ever made in my opinion.

  7. Pour one out for the death of an animation institution.

  8. The Adventures of Tintin had no business being as good as it was.

  9. NOOOOOOOOO – I loved every work to come out of this studio, it breaks my heart for future generations. I hope in the future their legacy may continue

  10. Legit sad to hear.

Won’t ever forget that end bumper

  11. Had to check and make sure they don’t have anything to do with Caillou…

  12. Man little bear was my comfort show when i was sick as a kid lol

  13. imagine a world where the CBC was well funded and forward thinking and bought this studio to help usher in a new golden age of canadian animation.

  14. Bell gutted the Corus animation department years ago. I’m surprised Nelvana still existed after that.
