In Türkiye’s Bolu province, 9 police officers were hospitalized after being poisoned by fumes while inspecting a suspicious substance in a vehicle’s fuel tank, APA reports.
During an operation conducted by the province’s Anti-Narcotics Department on a highway, a vehicle with foreign license plates was stopped.
While inspecting the vehicle, the odor emitted by the suspicious substance affected the police officers.
Two of the police officers who were immediately hospitalized for treatment were placed in the intensive care unit due to their serious condition.
