Pope Leo XIV will meet this week with two prominent international leaders: Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Polish President Karol Nawrocki, according to the Holy See Press Office.
Herzog, who has served as Israel’s head of state since 2021, is scheduled to be received in audience Sept. 4, Vatican News reported. The visit will also include a separate meeting with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State.
This marks Herzog’s second encounter with Pope Leo, following their initial meeting during the Pope’s inauguration Mass in May.
Nawrocki, who officially took office in early August, is scheduled to visit the Vatican Sept. 5. The meeting will mark his first formal audience with the Holy Father.
