The National Association of Broadcasters has unveiled details for the 2025 NAB Show New York, set for Oct. 22-23 at the Javits Center. The event, recognized as the East Coast’s premier media and entertainment gathering, will bring together professionals from radio, broadcasting, sports, live events, advertising, marketing, film and television.
Keynote sessions include Catherine Newman, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at U.S. Soccer Federation, and David Wright, USSF Chief Commercial Officer, who will discuss media strategy, digital platforms, and fan engagement ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Alessandra Catanese, CEO of Smosh, will also headline, sharing insights on building and monetizing fan communities through content, live streams, and direct engagement.
The NAB Marconi Radio Awards dinner will be held Oct. 21 at the Edison Ballroom, celebrating excellence in radio.
This year’s finalists include a mix of industry icons and rising stars. In the “Legendary Station of the Year” category, nominees include WABC-AM and WCBS-FM in New York, WHLI-AM on Long Island, WLW-AM in Cincinnati, and WMMR-FM in Philadelphia.
The conference will spotlight trends shaping media and content creation, including AI in newsrooms, the evolving creator economy, and the reinvention of live sports coverage.
New Programs for 2025:
The Future of Journalism: A new track on Oct. 22 will explore AI and automation in news production, hybrid funding models, niche journalism, and community-supported platforms. Speakers include Oliver Darcy, Sara Fisher, Amy Freeze, Thomas Germain, Curtis LeGeyt, and Mark Lukasiewicz.Creator Day: On Oct. 23, the program will focus on the creator economy in news, entertainment, and sports, featuring Lauren Inganamort, Michael Calvin Jones, and Sadaf Kazmi. Puff Media will demonstrate TikTok’s live shopping and entertainment features, connecting creators, brands, and partners.
