The Duchess of Kent passed away yesterday at the age of 92. I've always loved the moment when Katherine comforted Jana Novotná in Wimbledon and I was glad to see that she paid her condolences after Jana Novotná passed away, too. It was so lovely how the Duchess of Kent focused on helping children of low-income backgrounds pursue a career in music. What are some of her moments or fashion you loved?

I read somewhere that she retired from royal life and went incognito to teach kids music for years and years. Truly an incredible royal.
I don’t know much about her, but she seems to have been a very lovely lady, a true philantropist. Apparently she was a skilled pianist and organist and sang as a soprano with the Bach Choir.

I know they are more stereotypical favorite royal moments. Though I loved her style, she was one of best dressed European royals and had some of the best tiara moments also a beautiful woman no matter her age.
I remember when she hugged Jana Novotna after her defeat in the Wimbledon final 1993. I was impressed by her compassion as I thought it was only Diana that had any at the time.

She is a direct descendant of Oliver Cromwell which I have always found fascinating. I wonder if her extended family was disappointed when she married into the royal family?
