Russian troops attacked the Sumy community with two drones, one of which was shot down by air defense forces.

This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hrigorov, according to Ukrinform.

“At around 9 p.m., the enemy attacked the Sumy community with two strike UAVs. One drone was shot down in the air by the Defense Forces – the explosion could be heard by residents of the community,” he wrote.

The second drone hit the Kovpakivsky district, but not in a residential area. There were no casualties, and the consequences are being clarified, the head of the region added.

As reported by Ukrinform, police in Sumy region neutralized a Russian aircraft-type UAV equipped with high-explosive and thermobaric warheads. The drone targeted a railway track but did not explode.
