  1. Khan opposes a major weapons sales exhibition, partly due to large number of recent refugees in London. The exhibition can still go elsewhere – Farnborough, NEC etc.

    Far-right goes nuts. Again.

    It’s easier to find something that *won’t* trigger them nowadays.

I will get downvoted by the leftist hive for having such individualist thoughts but Khan has done more damage to cultural and religious tensions then anyone in the UK including the likes of Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farage. He’s divisive, condescending and protects foreign rape gangs. Part of me hopes that once he is out of office he’s get arrested for high treason against this country because that is what he has done.

Police Scotland arrest two people, a man and a woman in relation to the situation with those two girls but won’t say anything more. Sadiq Khan says no to some event because it *may* offend asylum seekers which is a hot issue atm. It’s truly bizarre to watch.

    So let’s clear things up.

    Firstly this is at the ExCel center, known for hosting fashion events, comiccon and other similar events

    Secondly, this isn’t a gun show, this is an arms show, this isn’t a mum and dad gun shop show but a Northrup Grummon showcase of machines designed to turn families into mist.

    Many of the people who live in London, either existing asylum seekers or previous asylum seekers have been on the arse end of said machines.

    I think his statements are fair, I don’t agree with them, but acting like he’s sold london out to asylum seekers is just bullshit trying to rile people up.

  11. Some people on the left need to take a read of the Quaran and the Hadiths and see exactly what the beliefs are regarding LGBTQ, apostates, non-believers, family pets, ritual slaughter, women, lying to appease, taxing other faiths, age of consent, marriage, rape and domestic abuse.

    And bear in mind there is no such thing as a moderate. If you are a moderate you are not of the faith.

    In brief, they need to get their heads out of the sand.

  19. Weirdly the Express didn’t quote his office’s actual statement:
     
    “But London’s mayor urged bosses at the ExCel to think twice before staging the event again, adding: “The Mayor is completely opposed to this event taking place in London and is appalled that the capital is being used as a marketplace for those who wish to trade in weapons. 
     
    “The Mayor has previously written to both the organisers and ExCel, to remind them that London is home to thousands of people who have fled conflict and suffered as a result of weapons like those exhibited at this event, and continues to urge them to reconsider hosting the fair in London in the future.”
     
    Very interested to hear from the people in this thread a) why arms fairs are a good thing and b) what they disagree with the above statement.

    But making it about asylum seekers is not the move.

    He doesn’t even comment on asylum seekers, it’s rage bait, he basically just said he doesn’t want London to be seen as a city that supplies weapons.

  32. Our arms trade is one of our few remaining, profitable industries. It pays for the benefits so many of these people claim. As far as I’m concerned they should be thanking the organisers, not getting ‘offended’.

  33. I don’t like the idea of a weapons fair in the UK BUT, part of living in Britain is that people have the freedom to hold a weapons fair. The fact that people are freely allowed to do this, is a great thing.
