  3. ah, yes. schrodinger’s climate change. mere observation will collapse the climate. but if we don’t try to open the box, that climate will keep chugging on as normal. my favorite thing about these people is that they fail to understand science they would have learned frankly in middle school. the greenhouse effect is very easy to understand.

  8. I’m just waiting for Trump to say that climate monitoring satellites have ruined the night sky and so deorbiting them is an environmental move. It’s the kind of absolutely twisted “logic” that the right seems to embrace these days.

  14. He’s right though. If something is not measured and not reported, people begin to ignore it. See Covid. Where I am, they stopped tracking and reporting the numbers. Within a month or three everyone stopped wearing masks. But Covid is still very much here, still killing people. But people just stopped caring. It’s not as rampant as before, it’s moderate now, but nobody cares. It’s not being reported, so it must be over. People have memory of a goldfish these days.
