These crazy birds have lived in St James park next to Buckingham Palace since 1664! I’d no idea.
They just wander about chill as you like.

They’re looking fine for 361 years of age, must be that pescatarian diet and algae, or something
So technically, the pelicans have a longer lease on London than most of us.
I watched one eating a small dog about 20 years ago.
I’ve been watching a series of short films on YouTube about pelicans. They’re called pelican briefs.
At a quick glance I thought the pelican was carrying the little umbrella 😂
They eat pigeons
I knew that London was further south than most of the UK, but it was still a shock the first time I saw them and thought ‘Wait, we’re not THAT far south, are we?!’
I wouldn’t like to be an off-lead chihuahua in the park

Never realised pelicans were that massive! Mind you, I’ve never seen one and never knew this. On my list now when I next visit London!
