2. TACO has no leverage over Putin and his fantasies of being Putin’s equal are playing out in public. Putin plays him like a fiddle too. EU are the whipping boys in this relationship.

7. Trump seems to do whatever Putin wants. If you look at Trumps track record over his entire history, and it’s a long history being the oldest President in American History, he has done Putin so many favors politically.

   1) Perform charade of peace talks

   2) Give impossible terms to Zelensky (“Come to Moscow”, “Demilitarize Ukraine”, “Surrender unoccupied regions”, etc

   3) Let Trump blame Zelensky and Europe for failed peace talks

10. Trump could have ended this on Day One by laying down the law. Cease firing immediately, each side keeps what they occupy, Ukraine gets immediate NATO membership and a fast track to the EU and Russia gets sanctions relief. It was the perfect time. Biden had tenderized Russia and they were desperate for a way out and Ukraine said they would settle for that. But Trump is a buffoon and has made a disaster of the Ukraine situation. Now he has sent India running to Beijing over it! WHAT AN EFFING DISASTER!

11. The Donald (Putin’s Penis Pocket) Trump administration has strongly suggested that Ukraine give up its territory currently occupied by Russia’s military. I suggest that the former party relinquish territory it holds outside of the continental United States before it expects/asks Ukrainians to relinquish to Putin’s Russia a sizeable chunk of territory that actually belongs to Ukraine.

    [China had similarly suggested that Ukraine let go of the occupied territory as part of a permanent ceasefire settlement/deal with Russia. Perhaps China should give up on Taiwan, which is an independent nation, before it asks Ukrainians to sacrifice territory that actually belongs to them.]

    Nah, the U.S. (and China) won’t be doing that. They even likely wouldn’t give up any territory if they were in Ukraine’s situation. That’s for suckers.

    As for Russia, Putin pathetically hypocritically criticizes then punishes Ukraine’s people when the latter’s military dares to strike back against Russia’s campaign of deliberate targeting and killing of civilians and destruction of infrastructure with barrages of missiles or drones. According to his own words, Putin is astonished and angry, as though the Ukrainians really have no moral right to self-defence.

    Of course, Putin absurdly justifies Russia’s first-strike attacks against Ukrainian civilians as a necessity of ‘de-nazifying’ their democratically elected government. But he should first ‘de-nazify’ Russia’s Kremlin — and especially his own presidency! Notably, the far-right AfD party of Germany supports, or at least sympathizes with, Putin’s Russia, and vice versa. (Or are they simply each other’s Useful Idiot?)

    It’s utterly naive to think that fascistic conduct is somehow less offensive if its perpetrator is not externally considered to be or tagged by the West as “neo Nazi”.

    As for Trump’s America (and contemporary China), they indeed are the high-school bully whose concept of his fair share will always be three-quarters of the pie. … Also worrisome for the little guy is when the bully is perfectly fine or even proud of the (very shameful) fact.

Can you believe Trump’s bungling has turned a regional war in Ukraine into a seismic geo-political shift where India has now slammed the door on the Yanks and suddenly formed an alliance with our erstwhile common enemy China??? It would have been impossible to predict how badly Trump’s foreign policy could go.
