It was reported on Friday that President Donald Trump will attend the 2025 US Open men’s final at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will square off this Sunday in New York. It’ll mark the third consecutive Grand Slam tournament where they’ll meet in the final. Alcaraz won the French Open final in June, but then lost the Wimbledon final to Sinner in July.

Before the men’s final was even set, Page Six reported that Trump was heading to the Big Apple to watch the final Grand Slam match of the season.

“Sources tell Page Six that Trump will be at the tennis tournament on Sunday for the Men’s Singles Finals,” the report from Ian Mohr said. “One hint that the commander-in-chief will be in the area is that, we hear, air space will be frozen, throwing off the travel schedules of any high-flying tennis fans who chopper out to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center via helicopter!”

Will ABC show Trump on TV?

According to Ben Rothenberg, the U.S. Tennis Association sent an email to broadcasters to censor any reactions to Trump’s appearance on Sunday. However, the 47th president of the United States will be shown during the national anthem.

“With respect to Broadcast Coverage, the President will be shown on the World Feed and the Ashe Court Feed during the opening anthem ceremony,” an email obtained by Bounces stated. “We ask all broadcasters to refrain from showcasing any disruptions or reactions in response to the President’s attendance in any capacity, including ENG [Electronic News Gathering] coverage.”

It doesn’t sound like we’ll see much of Trump during the Alcaraz-Sinner final.

The US Open men’s final will take place at 2 p.m. ET. Oddsmakers have Sinner as the slight favorite.
