Ireland U-21 boss Jim Crawford hailed the character of his side after coming from behind against Moldova to begin their Euro 2027 qualifying campaign with a win, but insists there’s plenty of room for improvement from the tough test.
The Young Boys in Green were made to work for the three points as fourth-seeds Moldova took the lead early on before strikes either side of the break from St Pat’s star Mason Melia secured a valuable three points in Nisporeni.
