Victor Ghiocares may miss important Arsenal matches

Victor Ghiocares, Arsenal’s newcomer, is risking not playing in significant matches next year due to a court summons.

The footballer has been invited as a witness in a case that will be heard in Sweden in 2026.

Ghiocares’ agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has filed a lawsuit against two Swedish publications for defamation.

Football Stockholm and Expressen reported that Cetinkaya and his agency, HCM Sports Management, have connections to criminal gangs.

Cetinkaya denies these allegations and has filed a lawsuit in the Stockholm District Court, where Ghiocares is expected to testify.

The forward has agreed to testify if summoned, as confirmed by Cetinkaya’s lawyer Joakim Lundqvist.

“He has been summoned as a witness to express his opinion regarding the circumstances described in the evidence,” he told SVT Sport.

The police in Sweden initiated an investigation last month related to a shooting involving a relative of one of Ghiocares’ representatives.

The trial date has not yet been set, so it is currently unknown when Ghiocares will be summoned and which matches he might miss.

However, considering that the Champions League playoffs are set to begin in 2026, along with the FA Cup, the 27-year-old footballer risks missing important encounters.

Ghiocares joined Arsenal for £63.5 million from ‘Sporting’ and has already scored two goals in three matches.

This week, he also played in a World Cup qualifying match for Sweden against Slovenia, providing an assist in the 2-2 draw.

Ghiocares’ court summons raises additional questions regarding his participation in the team’s upcoming matches. If the case drags on, there is a risk that he will miss key moments of the season. Football observers will continue to closely monitor the development of this situation, as it may significantly impact Arsenal’s plans in the next matches.
