    Most of you Redditors elsewhere in the world have no idea that Maduro has been threatening Guyana’s independence & newly found 11 *billion* barrels of oil in their essequibo region….the worlds largest oil reserve. They’ve even allegedly sent military vessels (according to Guyana president) as recently as March this year.

    ^ Not only is Venezuela’s shenanigans with Guyana a violation of international law being ignored wholesale right now by the world, but the real reason Maduro has been doing these “shows of force” is to try and distract the world from what they’re really after + hopefully garner some allies (BRICS) before the US steps in.
