Prince Andrew‘s ex-girlfriend recently admitted that she is “amazed” at the longevity of Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle. Known for her controversial points of view, Lady Victoria Hervey also told Closer magazine that Harry and Meghan’s relationship “seems to have been quite rocky” lately.

The socialite, who reportedly dated the Duke of York briefly in 1999, told the outlet: “I’m amazed their marriage has lasted as long as this – I’m sure it’s only because of the kids, because it seems to have been quite rocky for a while. She got him to move his whole life, and now she’s back where she grew up.”

Her comments come months after Meghan declared on businesswoman Jamie Kern Lima’s podcast that she and Harry, 40, will be together “forever” as she said they’re in “more of a honeymoon period” than ever before.

Two years after their wedding in 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle resigned as senior members of the Royal Family and moved to Montecito, California where they now live with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

In the next few days, Prince Harry will return to the UK to attend The WellChild Awards, in a visit which will also coincide with the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death on September 8.

While it has not been confirmed if the King will meet his youngest son when he returns, Lady Victoria said that Prince Harry will have to prove he’s a “changed man” before being welcomed back into the family.

It comes after Harry and Meghan publicly spoke to Oprah Winfrey in 2021 about their time in the Royal Family, and shortly after released a bombshell memoir full of accusations about his relationships with his family.

Lady Victoria’s most recent comments about Prince Harry and Meghan come after the Duchess released the second instalment of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, on August 26.

Netflix recently released the data for the ‘Top 10 Shows’ in the UK for the period from August 25 to August 31, with Meghan’s show failing to enter the top 10.

Season two of With Love, Meghan aired on August 26, and showcased Meghan Markle making arts and crafts and inviting celebrity friends and chefs to a rented mansion to explore her tagline “Love is in the details”.

Despite not entering the top 10, it has previously been revealed that Meghan will feature in a holiday special of her series in December. The press release issued by Archewell Productions read: “This December, join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration

“Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home. It’s a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy.”
