I’m not sure if it’s just being reported more, but mindless acts of vandalism towards priceless historical artefacts and sites seems to be a lot more common nowadays. It’s so infuriating. Why can’t we just respect things?
I know, let’s carve our details into these historical monuments so the police can track us down easier
Modern neanderthals
So depressing the rise of historical sites being vandalised, I thinks is a general lack of respect.
People littering seems to be social norm now, which utterly disgusts me.
I will never ever understand how these people think.
Didn’t realise they were that old!
In a couple of hundred years time, historians will be fawning all over them like they do with graffiti from a couple of hundred years ago now.
I’d upload a photo of graffiti from Hampton Court Palace, but alas, I can not.
Tossers have done that with a grinder. Good chance the twats are local
Splashing photos of the names over the bbc website isn’t helpful. It’s just encouraging more kids to vandalise to get their brief moment of Internet fame
I’m filing this under “Sycamore Gap tree syndrome”.
