  1. I hope it doesn’t get too out of control and anti-social elements hijack the process.

  2. OMG, I was just reading an AMA with a student in Nepal talking about the protests last night. Horrible!

  3. Today in Nepal, a protest started peacefully at 11 am. People were demanding accountability for corruption and criticizing ministers kids flaunting luxury cars, designer clothes, and expensive vacations on social media while ordinary citizens struggle to make ends meet. The government recently banned 26 social media platforms which sparked the protest, but the frustration is deeper than that. People are tired of inequality, corruption, and being silenced.

By 4 pm, 14 people have been killed including minors and more than 50 are seriously injured. 200+ people have injuries. Authorities responded with extreme force crushing people who are standing up for their rights. Watching teenagers die for demanding justice is unbearable. Hospitals are overwhelmed and chaos is spreading. The world needs to see this. Please share and help spread the word. Every post and every share can make a difference.

  4. It’s not just against social media ban
It’s against corruption and overall failure of the government to make us fell same and provide us with basic facilities while them and their kids enjoy foreign trips and ultra luxury brands and lifestyles

  5. And just like everything, in a couple of days this too will be forgotten. Its incredibly sad but thats the truth. This world isn’t made for people who aren’t rich

  6. Smells like Bangladesh again. Would be interested to see which side the new government leans towards.

  7. We are protesting against rampant corruption in our government. Almost all our prime ministers and ministers have faced allegations of embezzling huge amounts of funds intended for development. But none of them ever face any consequences while 20 percent of Nepal’s population lives under absolute poverty, on less than 72908 rupees (517 US dollars) a year. Our politicians openly post about their lavish lifestyle, which they clearly cannot sustain based on legal income, while the rest of us suffer due to our taxes being misused to buy their families Gucci bags and fund their expensive vacations abroad

  8. Even the BBC is trying to spin it as a protest against social media ban. The protest is against corruption first and censorship second. They are trying to change the narrative.

  9. The death of the student and the attack on them is just going to make things worse for the government. I hope they get the justice they deserve..

  10. And it will be forgotten in a week like many other conflicts unfortunately.

  11. Please note that the protest was NOT regarding social media ban, as many international news media portray. It was just the tipping point. The main agenda was to fight against Corruption and Nepotism. Please read this on my profile for the full truth.

  12. They were supposed to use rubber bullets but how did so many die?

  13. WE REPEAT. It’s not about social media ban. That was infact the last straw. We were all for no corruption.

  14. Feeling the wealthy inequality, overpopulation, and onslaught of misinformation are setting the world ablaze. And we are just seeing the smoke right now.

  15. This ain’t about social media ban.

It’s about humongous corruption scandals involving 10+ Billion dollars by the current government and occupying the judiciary.

Jail to tyrant PM KP OLI.

Please spread the news as all social media platforms are banned

  16. A terrible tragedy, but I am glad to see gen z in other countries are still brave and courageous, ready to fight for what’s right and just. Unlike the gen z pussies in america, making tik toks and complaining about how difficult their lives are. Like bffr lil bro.

  17. They are killing people who are helping people in ambulance hence the many ambulance drivers are scared to even drive

  18. Fellow Indians need to take note, with growing instability in the job market and the world cracking down on Immigration, while cronyism is pushing all the wealth and power to the hands of a few.

We’re promising the next generation success by following the traditional path, but they’re gonna be left holding the bag when AI goes mainstream. We need policy awareness and accountability in our governments…. Regardless of party affiliation.

  19. What is even horrible is that the police are attacking the injured in hospital, shooting tear gas bullets inside.

  20. Most of them were kids in college/school uniform, they were there to protest peacefully. Enforcement open fire against protestors. Nepali citizens need international support to fight against this authoritarian government. Most of the media are twisting the narrative already. This is unacceptable.

  21. according to a rumor forwarded to many ppl on istagram
    URGENT CALL (IMPORTANT):
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOTIFY EACH AND EVERYONE. FORWARD/SEND/MAIL ALL THE PROTEST RELATED NEWS TO INTERNATIONAL/GLOBALLY RECOGNISED BODIES AS THE GOVERNMENT IS PLANNING ON CUTTING OFF THE INTERNET TONIGHT. OUR PROTEST/VOICES ARE BEING SABOTAGED AND WE NEED HELP ASAP. FORWARD THIS MESSAGE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN

  22. Wondering how soon this is gonna start happening here (USA).

  23. THEY KILLED KIDS IN SCHOOL UNIFORMS. This movement is against corruption and nepo babies.

  24. The whole fucking world is on fire and it appears evil is in the lead.
Somethings got to give. What the fuck is happening !!?

  25. Why do we keep putting up with this? Crusty old men so secure in not being held accountable they rub their crimes in our faces. Ready to send millions of their own countrymen to die in order to protect their riches, and jackbooted thugs against any who protest. Nation after nation, government after government, serving themselves instead of the people. At some point we have to just say enough is enough. There are so many more of us than them.

  26. This protest is for all the corruption that happened in Nepal and not social media ban as the status quo is trying to spin it.

  27. Oh worldwide riots are happening. We just had some in Indonesia last week. Hopefully the protestors get what they wanted
