The deadline for submitting entries through the CyBC platform for Cyprus’ Junior Eurovision 2025 selection has officially closed today. According to the information available, interest was particularly high, with many applications submitted right up until the final moments.

Originally, auditions were scheduled to take place only on Saturday, September 13, but due to the large number of entries, they will now be held on both Saturday and Sunday, September 13 and 14. Through these closed auditions, a special jury will select the young artist who will wave the Cypriot flag in Tbilisi.

The announcement of Cyprus’ representative is expected next week, while the selection of the song will follow in a second phase. The goal of the Cypriot delegation is to present in Tbilisi a strong combination of artist and song.

Cyprus at Junior Eurovision

This will be Cyprus’ 11th participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The country’s best result to date is 8th place, achieved twice, in 2004 and 2006.

Last year, Maria Pissarides represented Cyprus with the song Crystal Waters, finishing in 13th place, although the entry proved particularly popular in both Greece and Cyprus.

The Junior Eurovision 2025 will take place on December 13 at the Small Palace of the Olympic Complex in Tbilisi, Georgia, with 17 countries already confirmed to participate.
