Knoebels Amusement Resort may need to make more room on their award shelf.
The Elysburg amusement park has once more taken home new accolades from the Golden Ticket Awards, published by Amusement Today and compiled by fan votes.
Knoebels’ Phoenix roller coaster was dubbed the best coaster in the world for a seventh consecutive time this year, according to a press release.
“Phoenix now holds the record for the longest-running winner of the #1 wooden roller coaster award and has made the top ten each year for more than 25 years,” the release read.
Brian Knoebel, co-owner and co-manager of the park, said in the press release that the staff is “incredibly honored Phoenix continues to soar, which is a testament to the ride’s legendary design, and the passion and precision our team puts into maintaining and operating it.”
Knoebels also earned a special “Legend” distinction for its food, after claiming the number 1 spot on the Golden Ticket Award list for 22 years of the past 25.
“To win this award 22 times over 25 years speaks to the care our talented team puts into our long-time favorites, as well as introducing new, creative dishes and seasonal items,” read a statement from Knoebels.
Awards were announced in a total of 27 categories at an event held at Carowinds Amusement Park.
Knoebels also earned 4th place in the Best Guest Experience category, and numbers 25 and 34 in the list of Top 50 Wooder Roller Coasters (Twister and Flying Turns, respectively).
Hersheypark also made several appearances on the Golden Ticket Award list. On the Best Steel Coaster list, Wildcat’s Revenge was ranked 27th and Skyrush placed 32nd, while Lighting Racer came in 29th for Best Wooden Coaster.
