I am a Canadian and I'm curious about how your election results are feeling for Norwegians. Here, our election results (April 2025) were a big change from what was expected only months before. The fascist BS in the US had a big impact on Canadians and I'm wondering if anything similar happened in Norway.

  1. The “steady hand on the steering wheel” crowd won with fear-mongering, tactical voting and a splash of corruption.

  2. The fascist BS in the USA perhaps drove some H voters to AP/ redblock.

    FrP made significant gains, not influenced by the fascist BS in the USA but they are not happy with MENA refugees.

  3. About as expected. One thing that will be interesting is to see how Støre sorts out the his coalition, SP and Rødt aren’t exactly close to one another politically speaking, so there is a very real chance that SP might actually seek a coalition on the right. Of course, SP and FrP aren’t exactly bosom buddies either 😄

  4. The fact that you call the US fascist shows that you don’t know what fascism actually is. I would argue that the UK with the internet ID requirement is much closer to fascism than the US, but whatever…
