Another Belfast 5G mast arson leads to arrest of man in his 40s | Belfast Live

A man has been arrested after another 5G mast was set on fire by arsonists in West Belfast. The emergency services were called to reports of a fire at a 5G mast on Whiterock Road, at the junction with Brittons Parade, on Sunday, September 7, at around 11.30pm.

It is one of a number of 5G masts that hve been set on fire in recent weeks.

Police have now arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of arson who remains in police custody at this time.

As part of their investigation police are asking if anyone saw a male riding a yellow bicycle in the Whiterock Road or Falls Road areas between 10.30pm and midnight.

Detective Inspector McAnee said: "This is just one of a number of 5G masts that have been set on fire in the area recently. Aside from the significant social and economic impact these attacks are having on the local community, the act of setting fire to large electrical equipment is extremely reckless and dangerous. Those responsible are putting themselves and members of the public at serious risk.” Appealing for witnesses, Detective Inspector McAnee continued: “If you were in the area of Whiterock Road or Falls Road last night between the hours of the hours of 10.30pm and midnight and observed a male riding a yellow bicycle please contact police. Likewise, if you live in this area and believe you may have CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist our investigation please let us know. "Anyone who may have any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1569 07/09/25. "A report can also be submitted online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport "Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org."

  7. How are they supposed to get their conspiracy theories without access to 5g Internet ? The people burning down the masts will be the same ones complaining shortly that the Government/ Immigrants/ COVID or Hilary Clinton are blocking their Internet to stop them spreading the truth. Classic case of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

  8. Surely this is technically terrorism? Damaging vital national infrastructure? If they blew up an electricity supply / water plant they’d be charged with terror offences. See the people arrested for painting planes in England
