We have way too many fatal road accidents for a small country like that. While I don‘t know why the accident happened, I still thunk that we should make punishments worse for drivers who get caught either on the phone or under the influence of drugs.
My condolences to the family and friends of the deceased man. 27 years is way too young to leave this world…
People generally are driving like absolute idiots. I don’t know where it comes from but people are just stressed driving, cutting others off etc.
The road has become a fight club.
Just read the comments about bicycle riders… People are talking about running them over because they might have to slow down a few seconds before overtaking
Another example of what is happening on the roads everyday. Last week we had the same. Our lives are in danger. So many incompetent drivers out there. Another sign that something isn’t working as it should. How many more people must die in order to proceed with some changes ? I’m sorry for the families that have to live with this pain. My condolences.
I do not drive myself because I have no licence, but I witness suicidal car drivers that try to overtake 5 cars together near corners at least twice a week. Just by being on the passenger seat I see some insane manoeuvres. I am surprised that fatal accidents do not happen more often actually. The car in the photo above overtook a bunch of cars at the same time without good visibility.
Just the other day a total dickhead surpassed me on the highway on my right at 150 km/h while I was normally surpassing at 125 km/h.
i mean a lot of it is due to road logistics.
administration des ponts et chaussées literally said “let’s troll them with the roads”. it’s funny until it’s not and people die.
the good news is that it’s incredibly easy to get rid of traffic and make roads safer (unlike in some other countries where they are already efficient)
I drove past after the crash, and I have no idea how it could have happened unless one of the drivers was speeding. The speed limit is 70 in both directions.
Because there is no control. Highways are supposedly 130 km/h but sometimes I’m the slowest car with that speed. Small roads are playgrounds of rich ass*les. No one cares about speed limits unless there is a radar, which is far and in between.
Is sad to see this happening so frequently.
Most of the times the reason is dangerous driving.
I don’t know this road in particular but there roads that the speed limits is way too dangerous for design of the road (Mamer to Kopstal).
And can someone help me to understand why we have trees as “guardrails”?? Why??
