Newsom didn’t get the message
The CEO of the new Bed, Bath, and Beyond, an experienced businessperson, wrote a letter to Gov. Gavin Newsom explaining why they were not going to open a brick-and-mortar store in California. In the letter, he explicitly said the decision had nothing to do with politics but all to do with the difficulty of doing business in California. He cited high wages, over regulation, and prohibitive cost of living.
Newsom answered with an arrogant retort that California is none of the things the CEO cited. What a short-sighted answer. Every resident of California knows California is a difficult state to live in unless you are wealthy. The cost of living is one of the highest in the nation, the unemployment rate is the highest, and on and on. Newsom is a poor excuse for a leader of the beautiful state of California.
The CEO of iconic California fast food In-N-Out cited the difficulty raising kids in California as well as California being a difficult place to do business. She moved to Tennessee to oversee the expansion of the In-N-Out empire.
Two refineries decide to leave California rather than invest in modernization of their facilities as they see no future for them in California.
The media is expressing amazement at the ease in which Newsom pushed through the bill to overturn the method for redistricting the state, which will provide more Democrat representatives and fewer Republican representatives. What is there to be surprised about? The California Assembly and Senate are super majority Democrat.
Legislative control over redistricting was removed by citizens in 2008 when citizens realized politicians rarely act in the citizens’ best interests
Projection: If voters approve the redistricting bill and the legislature drawn redistricting becomes law, even if temporary, Californians will not see districts drawn by the Independent Redistricting Commission. Once the legislature regains the power to draw only Democrat-majority districts, they will not give it up. The corruption of power is strong for politicians. It will not happen until 2030, but it will happen but before high-speed rail, which was also started in 2008.
Ever heard the saying “go woke go broke”? Running a business is hard but one successful rule to follow is “know your clientele”, Bud Light and Cracker Barrel apparently did not know their clientele and lost enormous value with “go woke go broke.”
Iran kills many in Saudi Arabia
Mr. Marsh, thanks for your correction. I can assure you I know exactly what a terrorist cell is. You are correct terrorist cells are sub groups of a terrorist organization. I might be wrong on this but from your responses it sounded like you referenced the Michigan Tech service or something and one other whose name I can’t recall.
Let me see if this example helps you understand that Iran has indeed attacked many and killed many in Saudi Arabia. If my memory is correct, according to, I believe “National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Response to Terrorism,” in 2019 the number of attacks in Saudi Arabia since 2000 hit 300 in 2019. In the United States, if a person pays someone to unalive somebody, they are also guilty of murder. Iran provides financial support of at least 10 terrorist groups that there is indisputable evidence of Iran’s financial backing that has led to most terrorist attacks on Saudi Arabia.
I really enjoyed your letter and I’m fairly confident you are familiar with the movie “Charlie Wilson’s War.” Your mention of the Mujahidden brought back some memories. Yes again you were correct and like “Avi” said toward end of the movie, Like usual we “@#%@#% it up”. Classic. Yes after helping the Afghans we left the “Mujahidden” many tools, and yes the earlier years you stated of the opium increase is correct but again I said since “at least” 1993 so you did verify my reference of at least. Osama bin Laden was required to pay 10% of all opium profits that was orchestrated by the USA and two other countries I choose not to mention.
Hillary Clinton was a BIG promoter of Saudis supporting Al-Qaida, and again I agreed with you by saying a few Saudi’s and Americans do contribute to Al-Qaida. Remember there a good number of Americans and more Saudis that have enough money to support money countries. I am strongly considering getting the Blumenthal book you mentioned to see how many facts he got right from my real experiences. I can’t comment on your reference of him until I read it, but I will do that.
To everyone in Minneapolis and all hurt from senseless massacres, Godspeed. I believe we all need to be sensitive to all our brothers and sisters to help eliminate all hate, it only leads to inhumane acts.
