Looters just emptied a Chicago shopping center in broad daylight. Look at that. He’s reaching in. Roberty New right through the store through the side window display case on East Hiron. They then reach in and grab a couple watches before they run off. Some watches seem less tingling from the window. I don’t think Rolex thought could be broken. They found out that you got enough uh leverage on a on a hatchet. Um you could break through. Chicago police say four men in masks broke the glass. The robbers fled in a red Nissan Morano. They then crashed the SUV into a parked car. Police scanner traffic says the men were seen throwing items out the windows, presumably watches. Honestly, it’s sad. It is. But why weren’t the police around to stop these guys? Oh, maybe this is why. Look at all these lunatics marching down the street taking up police resources protesting the crime crackdown which they say isn’t actually happening. Crazy. This is lawlessness. And apparently it goes on 24 hours a day now in Chicago. Look at all this patriotism for not America. Interesting. Very few American flags. First though, immigrant rights groups are activating tonight after they tell us at least three people were picked up by immigration officers on Chicago’s southwest side today. Back up. You’re in my way. Back up. Back up. Back up. Don’t touch me. Back up. Tense moments caught on cell phone video. Witnesses recording as they saw officers detain a local flower vendor near Archi and probably gang member. The officers wearing ice badges and vests with the words police federal agent faces unmasked. This agent with a golden pin showing the profile of Donald Trump. The most interesting thing was that pen showing Trump’s face. So that’s really a hate campaign that is really targeting hardworking families and Latinos, not criminals, as they’ve been saying. Then why did they arrest this guy if he’s not a criminal? If he’s done nothing wrong, why is a task force of armed ICE agents out there pulling him off the street before he does something else? Halo Gutierrez met us at the site of another incident, the bus stop at 47th and Archer. Also caught on video by a witness and seemingly also recorded by taking the bus outlet. We don’t need ice here. We don’t need the troops here. Volunteers with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights visiting the sites of the ICE activity, spreading their know your rights information and informing residents of the detainments. People in this community, different businesses describe him as somebody who works hard, who is out here continuously selling flowers, and he was taken from us today. People may be afraid, but also people are determined to say, “This is our home. This is where we belong, and we will not just sit back and tolerate our people.” You got 10 guys arresting these people, and we’re supposed to believe they’re innocent men that did nothing when they’re here illegally. Law enfor [Music] They are not that bright. Where are you stand? Where are you? Where are you taking them? Ask you a question. Where are you taking them? To their home country. How’s that for answer? You’re kidnapping them. Tell us where you’re taking. Yeah, they’re not kidnapping. Tell us where you are taking us. These people are going to exhaust themselves screaming like this. Look at these people. This is awful, man. This is terrible, man. this disgusting, disrespectful. I don’t care who the president is, you don’t do something like this. Even if you didn’t vote for him, you don’t do this. No, this is just animal behavior. I know what’s so funny to me is the fact that we got people on TikTok and the people of Chicago saying that they’re not scared of the National Guard, which okay, you may not be scared of the National Guard or whatever the case may be, but I’m going to tell y’all something. The National Guard definitely ain’t scared of y’all. And the National Guard definitely don’t mind bringing their ass to Chicago and shutting that whole city down. And the only reason these people saying this is because Trump said that they’re gonna find like what he did with DC and they’re going to do the same thing in Chicago. And I guess the people of Chicago feeling some type of way. The dude was talking about some, oh, we got switches. We ain’t scared of the National Guard. We got all this, we got all that. As if this not the US military that y’all talking about. I guarantee you them folks start bringing those tanks and bringing those grenade launchers to the streets, there is absolutely nothing that y’all people can do to the National Guard once they get to Chicago. I’m going tell you that now. Man, y’all people ought to around and find out what is really about and what America is really about. He’s right about that. But the Chicago police are also learning what Chicago is really about. Look at what they just found. Now to a mystery beneath the surface of this part of the Chicago River. More than 90. That’s right. 90 cars were found. Some new, some old, and rusted out. Our Marissa Sulick rode along with the cars under the river. On this boat is the Chaos Divers team. what’s happening in Chicago. They travel the country looking for cars involved in cold cases. And this week, they are traveling the Chicago River from Diversity on the North Branch to Cicero via the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal. I thought there wasn’t any crime in Chicago. Why would they come here? Lindsy Buk is the manager. We have 10 missing person’s cases in Chicago. But as they were trying to solve cold cases, they came across dozens of other cars. Once we kind of reached that like 50 oh no, you know, 60 number point, then it was kind of like, okay, this was even a little more than we had expected to find. Music says they found over 90 cars in the depths of the Chicago River over the last few days. To find the cars, they have sonar set up here in the command center, so they’re able to find the cars before they dive in. There’s so much that we can tell you from this. if they locate a car. There’s a vehicle right here. That’s actually a muscle car. They could retrieve it themselves. But Wednesday afternoon, they called Chicago police to take out this Nissan sedan Buick says was dead. I bet you the police were hoping nobody would find these cars because that reveals there’s a massive crime problem going on here and the National Guard probably should have been in Chicago yesterday. This was a stolen car in 2023. My goodness. However, there are times they do solve decades old cases. Thankfully, we have been had the opportunity to bring 20 people home over the last four years. Two of those were here in the Chicago area. They found this car in the Fox River in Elgen this spring. So, this is actually a full-size Audi SUV in the water. As for what’s next for the over 90 cars in the water, when we reached out to Chicago police, they directed us to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and we are still waiting to hear back from them. They don’t want to talk about why there are so many cars in here that they had no idea about. But as the leaders in Chicago complain that Trump sending the National Guard to their city is a bad idea and instead say, “Hey, just give us money so we can solve the crime problem on our own. We’re learning where the money they already have already went. I heard that Brandon Johnson requested the money to pay for the 2600 cops that the Chicago Police Department is down. Okay. Um if they didn’t spend all that money over the last few years on on harboring migrants who were not here legally, um they would have the money for those cuts, wouldn’t they? Wow. decision that they make and it’s not apparently in the best interest of the citizens who who are voting here in the city of Chicago. Very so. They’re running out of police. They’re running out of money and they keep giving money away to people who are in the country illegally. What a disaster. Right. We we have we don’t care anything about these paid protesters. The real residents we’re speaking, we see that our elected officials, they care nothing about the citizens. She’s right. The only people they’re interested in protecting are illegal aliens. Prrisker told us himself that, hey, big crime, I mean, big cities have crime. What a stupid thing to say. Does that make it Does that make it easier for those families who lost loved ones? One life that’s lost is is a life too many. These people don’t care about us. You know, I think a lot of people were expecting to see more action. I mean there’s certainly action by the protesters but we are still waiting to see more happening uh when it comes to the guard. Let’s hear what the borders are. Tom Hman said this morning about the troops coming to Okay, before we get to that, this idea that big cities have crime, therefore what are we supposed to do about it? That is so irresponsible. Even one person getting a costed in some manner is too many. Law and order has to be something that a city is constantly working towards achieving every single day. You don’t take your foot off the gas when it comes to law and order or you get Chicago. National Guard does provide protection force. It does provide us infrastructure, provides us transportation, provides us additional processing capability that allows the ones who immigration authority, the badge and guns on the street to continue arresting the bad guy. So you they’re force multiplier and they’re on the table. Force multiplier. So, I’m wondering what you think about that because we’ve got reports saying this operation could involve flashbang grenades. Um, you know, do you think that the people of Chicago will feel safer knowing that battlefield style devices may be used in their neighborhoods? We’re asking that question to people in Chicago because it does sound so extreme, but it sounds also like you are experiencing some extreme crime. So, look, if you’ve got criminals running around who are heavily armed and are just doing things they shouldn’t do in broad daylight, the idea of the military coming in and getting rid of them, to me, that’s a good thing. I would feel safer knowing that the military is going to go out and take these guys down. Also, in New York City, one of the most progressive places on the planet, we’ve still got a National Guard deployment in our subways, and nobody’s complaining about it because Trump wasn’t the person that put him there. So if the governor of this place were to put the National Guard in Chicago of his own valition, nobody would care. But since Trump wants to Oh, there’s outrage. We welcome that. Look, drastic times calls for drastic measures. We are in drastic times. Just it’s the extreme is when you can’t walk down the street without getting gunned down. Extreme is when you’re downtown like I was just the other day and you had a blazing robbery in effect while people walking down jewelry store the window open. Yes. Grab watches. This was the Rolex store. This was like two days ago. I was downtown. People were calling me trying to make sure that I was okay. Family members. So when you have drastic times like this, we need extreme measures. And we and we know that all our elected officials care about. They don’t care about the crime and what’s happening. All they’re asking for is give us the money. They don’t. And no, we’re not. Do not send these crooks anything. That’s because what they’ve realized is that by allowing elevated crime in their city, they could say, “Oh, we need money to solve that crime.” And then what happens? They get that money and they waste it. The crime stays, but the crime remains as a reason to ask for even more money. And that’s what these people have been doing. Public safety is a grift in these progressive cities. Oh, crime here’s out of control. We need money for diversion. We need money to find the root cause of crime. And we’re going to need a lot of it because there are a lot of criminals in the way that we need to move out of the way so that we can find the root cause of their bad behavior instead of arresting those criminals and building a jail. Why aren’t they asking for money to build a jail and put criminals in it? Because that would alleviate the thing that gets these places rich. You see what’s happening here? What an absolute scam. Is that why we’ve got out of control broad daylight crime in Chicago? Is it because crime is a way for these places to enrich themselves when they ask for help in solving it just like they ask for help in solving homelessness and poor failing schools?
