The Prince of Wales, 43, headed to the Lambeth area of London on Tuesday, Sept. 9, to visit Spiral Skills. The youth organization received funding from the Homewards Fund to expand its services for local young people, helping to break the cycles of exclusion and unemployment.

Prince William learned how the grant helped them move to a new hub, which includes a well-being room, and increase staffing.

He also attended a film production workshop with Young Creators U.K., an impact-led creative agency run and owned by underrepresented young people.

  1. Spiral Skills was founded in 2015 and works with local schools, youth organisations and authorities to provide early intervention, holistic support, employability skills and access to employment and services for underserved 14–25-year-olds. The organisation provides a range of services including career coaching, employment opportunities and workshops to help break the cycles of exclusion and unemployment for young people in the local community.

With support from the Homewards Fund, Spiral Skills has moved into a new multi-agency prevention hub for young people at the Oasis Village in Tulse Hill. This collaborative approach brings together services under one roof, offering accessible, holistic support for young people aged between 14 and 25. The Prince visited this new space to see how this collaborative model offers a wide range of accessible support and how the grant has allowed them to expand, increase staffing and create new spaces such as a wellbeing room

  2. That’s lovely, it’s great to see people trying to address homelessness.

  3. As someone old enough to remember seeing Diana’s visits to homeless charities with William and Harry in tow, it’s great to see the work he’s doing to fight homelessness. I’m sure Diana would be distressed that the problem is seemingly worse that in the 90s, but proud that her example clearly inspired William.

  4. That’s great, good to see rich people that got there on the backs of the working class have some compassion.

My only question is where did the money for his fund come from? Does he make money as a private citizen or is it what they receive from the taxpayers?

  5. Can we go one post without someone barging into the comments screaming about Harry (or Meghan)? It’s so fucking exhausting. Idk if it’s people brigading from one of the hate subs but y’all literally ruin the conversation. Go away. Please.
