  3. Bad faith journalism, yet again.

    Firstly, what on earth is an anti-Rwanda lawyer? Human rights group claims are taken on by private firms, this is not legal aid.

    Secondly – and well buried in the article – are the circumstances of the claim. “Among the allegations are physical abuse, sexual assault, guards thieving property, as well as dirty and cold conditions, scabies and outbreaks of diphtheria.”

    To be clear, the government used your taxes to give a detention centre contract to a company responsible for those conditions. But yeah, sure, it’s the lawyers you need to be angry about…
