BREAKING: EU planning ‘complete ban’ on issuing visas to all citizens of the Russian Federation | Opposition figures ‘shocked’ by alleged measures, urge Brussels to re-consider

1. Russian liberal/opposition figures from the Anti-Corruption Foundation reacted ‘shock’ following reports that the EU is planning a complete ban on issuing visitor Visas to Russian citizens.

   Navalny’s wife, in particular, publicly urged the EU to re-consider.

   In a letter to chief Russophobe Kaja Kallas,

   she said:

   “For over 14 years, the Anti-Corruption Foundation has opposed Putin’s regime and has condemned the aggressive war he launched from the start. Our organisation also advocated for extra sanctions on Russian elites that are responsible for the attack on the neighbourhood country [Ukraine].

   “However, the ‘indiscriminate measures’ being floated, targeting all Russian citizens, are not going to end the war.

   “Instead, it will be counter-productive”.

   She added that, ‘current Russia is not a democratic state’, accusing Putin of ‘falsifying’ election results.

   “The Kremlin’s propaganda machine is ‘working hard’ [I would argue that EU is working even harder] to convince Russian citizens of Europe’s hostility toward Russia”.

   According to her, the plan ‘would help the Russian government further isolate Russian society’.

   She went on to accuse Europe of preferring to target ordinary Russians than Kremlin elites and oligarchs.

   ‘Putin is not Russia, and Russian citizens are not the perpetrators of this conflict’.

2. So it took just a few decades of sabotages on critical infrastructure and military sector, some murder and kidnapping, many parades waving russian swastikas and some espionage to make Europeans start suspecting that letting russians travel in your countries isn’t a good idea

3. Sooo. It takes 4 drones to do all this?

   When are all the other “extremist nations” going to be hit just as hard?

   Talking Israel? Iran? The US with it’s neo-imperialism that are tarrifs? China?

   This is another massive geo-political fail if it passes that will achieve absolutely nothing. Just make themselves feel better. Or not because it’ll tank other international relations even further

4. Good thing. We had brain drain and overall emigration problems, thanks to enlightened West for trying so hard to solve it.

   And for poor Russian libs – they like urinotherapy, and there is never enough these times for them.

5. I think war with Russia is imminent. France is preparing hospitals for high-intensity war. The Germans begin to arm themselves and all channels with the Russians are cut. Prepare yourself, war is near. There are really a lot of signs.

6. This is the opposite of what should be done.

   Liberal folks, the kinds of folks who oppose Putin, should be welcomed. Dissenters and defectors should be welcomed. It reduces Russia’s productive capacity for “the good ones” to get up and leave. It makes any nation which opposes Russia a stronger nation.

   By barring escape from a tyrannical regime, you only create victims of that regime.

   By grouping these folks all together, you’re forcing them to work together. You’re giving them only one flag to rally around.
