September the 11th. 2025 – Entrepreneur Mate Rimac has been presenting his Croatian tech at the IAA Mobility Fair in Munich, spotlighting the country’s incredible talent.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Rimac Technology recently presented Croatian tech in the form of its latest portfolio of advanced battery and drive systems at the globally recognised IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. That presentation included state-of-the-art solid-state battery solutions, as well as the evolution of existing batteries and e-axles.
“With this, Rimac Technology once again confirmed its status as a Tier-1 supplier of technology solutions for the automotive industry – not only through the ability to mass-produce tens of thousands of units per month, but also by constantly ensuring that the company’s technology remains at the forefront of global development. After announcing collaborations with global automakers such as BMW Group, CEER Motors and Porsche over the past 12 months, Rimac Technology continues to innovate,” they said in a statement.
A revolution in battery technology
They noted that in collaboration with ProLogium and Mitsubishi, they developed an advanced next-generation battery technology consisting of solid-state cell technology and an innovative housing, which makes it lighter, safer and more energy-dense.
“This technology, developed in collaboration with Kautex, is another example of high-performance battery systems of the future that combines proven cell chemistry with innovative packaging and thermal management solutions. Also notable is the hybrid technology that successfully meets key market requirements and offers advanced safety and thermal management features.
Visitors to the fair also got to see the ultra-compact, fully integrated SINTEG 300 and 550 e-axles that achieve previously unseen levels of performance, while setting new industry standards for series production.
Due to their configurations, they are ideal for vehicles such as sports compact cars, coupes, sedans and SUVs. Also presented was the High Torque XXL, a production version of the Dual EM EDU e-axle, which will enter production for the global automaker in 2026 at one of Rimac Technology’s plants,” they emphasised.
The Future of Centralised Architecture
Rimac Technology also presented more incredible Croatian tech as part of its portfolio of electronic control units at the IAA Mobility Fair in Munich. The standout highlight of this was the unique high-performance domain controllers that enable a centralised architecture that significantly simplifies complexity, reduces costs and weight for vehicle manufacturers.
“What we’ve presented at the IAA is a combination of innovation and production readiness. These aren’t just conceptual technologies, they’ve been developed as production-ready solutions that will power hundreds of thousands of vehicles in the coming years,” revealed Nurdin Pitarević, Chief Operating Officer of Rimac Technology.
The Croatian tech presented at the IAA Mobility fair will be produced in the state-of-the-art production facilities of the Rimac Group which extend over more than 95,000 square metres at two locations. They naturally include the company’s headquarters, the impressive Rimac Campus, one of the largest R&D and production complexes in this part of Europe, and not only in the automotive industry.
