BREAKING: Conservative activist Charlie Kirk shot at Utah event

The founder of the highly influential conservative group Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk has been shot. He was shot while he was hosting an event on the campus of Utah Valley University. This video shows the moments before he was shot. A huge crowd gathered around him. He’d been speaking for about 20 minutes before he was struck. According to a spokesperson for the university, the university says that the suspect fired at Kirk from a building about 200 yards away. DEVELOPING: Conservative influencer Charlie Kirk was shot on Wednesday at a Utah university. Kirk, who is the CEO of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), had brought his “American Comeback Tour” to Utah Valley University, where news of his appearance had been met with fierce protest. A spokesperson for Utah Valley University told MSNBC that Kirk was shot around 1:20 p.m. local time, adding “a single shot was fired from a building close by about 200 yards away.” Authorities do not have a suspect in custody, according to Utah Valley University spokesperson Ellen Treanor.

  4. Aw man, why didnt the armed conservatives gun down the gunman before he got the shot?

    Isnt that what's supposed to happen?

    You get magic reflexes and you remember all that training you did at the gun range? whyd they freeze?

    If a teacher could do it hypothetically, why not the crowd? Not a single one of them could hit that shot?

    Risk hitting someone in the crowd, you say? Potential children at the rally? Thats so weird.

  9. I guess we should have someone competent running domestic terrorism prevention. Where was the good man with a gun? “It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other G-d-given rights,”

    The snark just writes itself . I’m not happy about Kirk’s, but it’s difficult to feel sad for someone who said that we shouldn’t have empathy and that death are just inevitable.

  36. This comment section is disgraceful. You folks are glad Kirk is gone because he was winning arguments and influencing young people. You want young people protected from ideas you disagree with….at all costs. That’s true Fascism.

    Any young people reading this take note. Learn what Charlie Kirk stood for. And NEVER support those who cannot win a debate without permanently silencing their opponent.
