  1. I’ll never understand the people cheering their estrangement.

He has cancer and that’s his son.

  2. Come on, somebody leak what is discussed! My nosy ass wants to knowwwwwwww

  3. I hope they reconcile. In the end, they’re father and son

  4. I hope this doesn’t mean this is last meeting before the King’s demise.  My wish is that King Charles lives as long as his mother, Her Majesty.

  5. The poor family. In my family, sure, we fight and get annoyed and show up at the next function and also chat and call each other all the time because we love each other. This adult kid can’t bring his wife and kids, whom he loves so much, to share with his dad, whom he also loves so much, and supposedly the dad loves him, too. I don’t know why they can’t show it like normal people do – with a bit more than a scheduled half-hour meeting. This makes me glad I’m not royal and honestly royals shouldn’t want to be royal – is it worth it?

  6. I truly hope it was a productive talk and they can start to come to an understanding.

I hope somebody leaks the conversation! I know that’s messed up and I do want them to reconcile. I just want one of the aids to be as nosy as I am!!

  8. Now we just wait for Harry to share what it was about…but either way: this was a mistake.

  9. Thought this meeting up story was completely false but guess I was wrong.

Very disappointing that Charles theoretically bows to Harry.

  10. Two reasons, wants to bring the kids back for a visit, and firming up his inheritance. He’s going to get a chunk from Charles.

  11. Nice! Great gestures from both sides. End of the day, that’s his daddy and he’s the king’s son!

Glad they are reunited again. This visit has lead to nothing but positive outcomes.

  12. I hope they have a good time, leave everything in the past, and build a new bond. While I am not a fan of the RF, I still want the best for anyone regardless of the circumstances. Neither should have to live with the pain of losing either end of the relationship. But also I will be begging the universe for some snippets of tea

  13. Harry deserves a second chance. Being an entitled prick is not a crime, being a sexual abuser is (Andrew).

  14. Regardless of what comes next, I hope this was a lovely catchup with Harry and his dad, or with Charles and his son, who lives overseas. That’s all it should be at the end of the day. Family time.

  15. I’m looking forward to hearing about how it went on Oprah next week.

  16. It’s new material for a revival of The Crown anyway.

  17. Thoughts and prayers for those hoping for irrevocable family estrangement.

  18. I pray they are able to reconcile. Forgiveness is a core tenant of the Anglican faith and as Defender of the Faith and as a father, I’m sure the King would like to resolve this while he is still able.

None of us really knows what goes on in their personal relationships. I do not personally like some of the things both parties have done over the years, but Her Late Majesty was very clear – the Sussexes remain “much loved members of [her]family.” I will always ride hard for HLM and I’m an Anglican (though not a great one, to be transparent), so I’m relieved they’re meeting face-to-face.

Also, as someone with an elderly parent with cancer, these end times are so important. I’ve had more conversations with my Mother this past year than the past fifty put together. We’ve resolved so much. I pray the King and Harry are afforded the same opportunity.

  19. Can’t wait for Harry to sign a new Netflix deal and spill the tea
