‘Netanyahu willing to risk his highest diplomatic achievement in order to keep his base’
to see you. So, reports that Tuesday’s strike targeting Hamas leaders in Doha is now making officials in Qatar reconsider their role as mediators in ceasefire talks over Gaza. Yes, they are reconsidering and they’ve referred to Israel as an enemy state and they’re organizing they’re trying to organize all the Gulf nations for this summit to condemn Israel or possibly to organize uh so far undefined but a regional reaction or retaliation against Israel but they haven’t completely pulled out. They have not said we refuse uh to be part of these negotiations. They seem to be walking a weary line. One interesting thing is that we hear that Qatar is trying to persuade the United Arab Emirates to uh recall its ambassador from Tel Aviv. The UAE is the largest country that signed a normalization agreement um with Israel 5 years ago. just marked 5 years at the time. This was considered a massive achievement for both Trump and Netanyahu who were both in office at the time. And Prime Minister Netanyahu had to have known ahead of time that he was risking the Abraham Accords when taking this action and also risking American anger. So while the US is distracted um with the assassination of Charlie Kirk, all eyes really are on Doha and how they may react. Well, no, I also want to talk to you about what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been saying. He’s just signed an agreement um to push ahead with a controversial settlement settlement expansion plan. What have you been hearing about that? Pizza. Well, interestingly, this is another kind of finger in the eye of the United Arab Emirates that has made it clear publicly in the last week to Netanyahu that if he ind in fact does announce any kind of uh sovereignty or annexation of the West Bank, any move that would actually uh prevent the establishment of a contiguous Palestinian state in the West Bank, that that would be considered uh breaking the Abraham accords on Israel’s sides. Today was a kind of symbolic ceremony. I have to say Netanyahu appeared quite cheerful, very much playing to his base. He engaged in a very uh light-hearted, it seemed back and forth with the public. He declared, “There will never a Palestinian state will never rise.” And someone from the public yelled sovereignty, which has sort of become a code word for annexation. And he said, “I hear you.” this kind of back and forth. For now, no concrete steps have been taken, but very much and in both respects that you’ve asked me about, we see Netanyahu appears willing to risk what he has described as his greatest diplomatic achievement in order to keep his base, his political base on side. No, thank you so much for bringing us up to speed. Noapolski reporting live there from Jerusalem.
FRANCE 24’s Noga Tarnopolsky reports from Jerusalem as the Israeli strikes on Doha are pushing Qatar to reconsider its role as mediator in the Gaza talks. She says that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems willing to risk his highest diplomatic achievement, the Abraham Accords, in order to keep his base, as he approves a major settlement project in the West Bank and vows that “there will be no Palestinian state”.

Didn't Saudi have to allow airspyfor the attack in Doha
Israel has one ally…USA. Its better to have USA as one ally than have the entire gulf States or Europe. most of them are just noise makers and negligible
As much as I try to support Israel, the strike was the height of stupidity. Risking the Abraham Accords. Attacking a country with a close alliance with Israel's strongest ally, the U.S. But even more, almost every Israeli has dreamed of a possible peace with Syria and even Lebanon. Now that it is probably closer than it has ever been, Netanyahu continues to bomb Syria and Lebanon randomly, even though neither of these countries no longer can really threaten Israel they way they once did. And what was accomplished in Doha? Nothing really. Hamas has lost tons of their senior leadership, yet the war continues on and on. It's clear he has no interest in a real peace. Unfortunate for the world, and the majority of Israelis who do.
Harboring a terrorist is a Qatar downfall
France: "We do not condemn Israel!…..we will just say it is unacceptable"
A prediction – Qatar will not abandon its role as the "mediator". Because presenting themselves as "mediators" is foundational to Qatars soft power. And also – they're not mediators, they're intermediaries. Bibi was right to bitchslap them this publicly, no matter the fallout.
Theyve kidnapped 1,500 men.
No one needs Qatar’s support, they are a terrorist haven country.
How i wish turkey 🇹🇷 keeps hamas leaders 😂 this would be the best way to see how NATO will react when turkey is attacked
