Brooke Shields is a descendant of the House of Torlonia, an Italian princely family. Her paternal grandmother was Donna Marina Torlonia, daughter of Marino Torlonia, 4th Prince of Civitella-Cesi and Mary Elsie Moore. Marina was the younger sister of Alessandro Torlonia, 5th Prince of Civitella-Cesi who married Infanta Beatriz of Spain. Their granddaughter Sibilla Weiller married Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg. Brooke is therefore the second cousin of Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg.
Brooke Shields’ three paternal half-sisters (pictured in the second slide) are named after the three daughters of Marino and Elsie with Torlonia as their middle name. Their names are Marina Torlonia Shields, Olympia Torlonia Shields, and Christina Torlonia Shields.
Brooke certainly has the looks of an Italian aristocrat. While this relation isn’t through that side of her family she is the second cousin once removed of fellow American actress Glenn Close (Sibilla is as well). Glenn’s maternal grandfather Charles Moore was the older brother of Brooke and Sibilla’s great-grandmother Mary Elsie Moore. Glenn’s daughter is therefore their third cousin.

I love to look at the connections on wikitree!
Thank you for posting this. I knew who Brooke Shields’s grandmother was, but never traced the relationship to Sibilla of Luxembourg.
One slight correction: Brooke’s half-sister is Christiana, not Christina. I went to school with her.
