A Welsh police force has responded to concerns that people have been approaching children after school. Gwent Police shared the post after a number of schools in Caerphilly borough warned parents and pupils that "strangers" had been approaching children.
It is understood that this stemmed from a isolated incident in Trethomas on Tuesday during which it was claimed that a man "tried to get [a child] in his van". However, Gwent Police stressed that the man is assisting officers with the investigation and no offences have been identified.

Could this be reform canvassers desperately trying to find individuals they are intellectually equal too in order to discuss politics with, in the upcoming by election?
