Fox News has named a replacement for Pete Hegseth, the former network host who is now Secretary of Defense for the Trump administration.

Griff Jenkins will replace Hegseth as the third cohost on “Fox & Friends Weekend” that airs Saturdays and Sundays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET (5 a.m.-9 a.m. CT.), according to a statement from the network.

Jenkins joined Fox News in 2003 and has covered a number of major stories, including the southern border, elections, protests and wars. He will join Rachel Campos-Duffy and Charlie Hurt starting Sept. 20.

New weekend programming

The network also announced a slate of new weekend programming starting Sept. 21.

Former Trump White House spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany, previously with “Outnumbered,” will begin hosting her own program, “Saturday in America,” from 10 a.m. to noon ET (9 a.m.to 11 a.m. CT). “The Sunday Briefing” will debut, anchored by senior White House correspondents Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich rotating as solo hosts. The show will air Sundays from 11 a.m. to noon ET (10 a.m.-11 a.m. CT).

Also, Johnny Joey Jones and Tomi Lahren have been named two of the four co-hosts of “The Big Weekend Show.” That show will expand to three hours Saturdays and Sundays from 5-8 p.m. ET (4 p.m.-7 p.m. CT).

One show will be ending, Fox announced.

“Media Buzz” with Howie Kurtz will air its final show Sunday, Sept. 14 after 12 years on the air. Kurtz will continue with the network as a political media analyst and host of “Media BuzzMeter” podcast.
