Baker Hughes will supply the main liquefaction equipment for Train 4 of NextDecade’s Rio Grande LNG Facility in the Port of Brownsville, Texas.

Replicating the technology solutions provided for the first three liquefied natural gas (LNG) trains, the Train 4 order includes two Frame 7 gas turbines and six centrifugal compressors. These solutions will deliver an additional LNG capacity of approximately 6 MTPA at the facility.

NextDecade Corp. recently made a positive final investment (FID) decision on Train 4 at Rio Grande LNG and issued full notice to proceed to Bechtel Energy (see Rio Grande LNG Says Yes To Train 4). Additionally, NextDecade continues to progress Train 5 at Rio Grande LNG toward an expected FID in the fourth quarter of 2025.
