SpaceX gears up for evening rocket launch from Florida coast

  • 14.09.2025

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – SpaceX is preparing for another rocket launch from the Space Coast, according to the space agency.

The Falcon 9 launch of Northrop Grumman’s next Cygnus mission (NG-23) to the International Space Station will launch from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

According to NASA, the Cygnus XL spacecraft is set to deliver more than 11,000 pounds of “science, research, and supplies* to the orbital complex, including materials to produce semiconductor crystals in space and equipment to develop improvements for cryogenic fuel tanks.”

Liftoff is targeted for 6:11 p.m, with a backup launch opportunity available on Monday, at 5:49 p.m.

SpaceX said this will be the fourth flight of the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Ax-4, Crew-11, and a Starlink mission.

Following stage separation, Falcon 9 will land on Landing Zone 2 (LZ-2) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

On Thursday, SpaceX finally launched a telecommunications satellite from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station after several delays.

ClickOrlando will stream Sunday’s launch live when it happens.
